Blue city “Samarkand”

Famous as a world heritage site in Uzbekistan,
I went to the blue city “Samarkand”!

While prospering as a strategic point on the Silk Road,
It is an ancient capital of the empire that was left in ruins during the invasion and was rebuilt by Timur.

It is famous as the largest mosque in Central Asia.

This is one of the world heritage sites that made a great impression on me when I was acquiring the World Heritage Certification Grade 2.

In particular, the golden chapel “Tilakari Medrese” was surrounded by dazzling gold, containing 4 kg of gold!

The first place I went to was the Registan Square.
Photographing a wedding or the actual reception? It seems that it is also used for other purposes, and several brides and grooms were taking photos on the day.
It really looks great here ☆

What was impressive was that once inside, there were souvenir shops everywhere. lol

This is why I think Uzbekistan is very worth coming to.

If you like mosques, be sure to visit the ancient city of Samarkand!
